PROFILE 1
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, with a duration of at least ten semesters, and,
2. Professional title in Industrial Civil Engineering or Mathematical Civil Engineering or equivalent degree.
3. Ph.D./Doctor degree in Engineering Sciences or equivalent, a specialist in the area of logistics or operations management training. Preferably, a master’s degree in one of the indicated areas is desirable.
4. Must have at least four years of teaching or research experience.
PROFILE 2
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent, with a duration of at least ten semesters, and,
2. Professional title in Industrial Civil Engineering, Mathematical Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or equivalent.
3. Ph.D./Doctor degree in Engineering Sciences, Management Science, Administration, or equivalent, demonstration training in strategic planning, management systems, and management systems control. Preferably, a master’s degree in one of the indicated areas is desirable.
4. Must have at least four years of teaching or research experience.
PROFILE 3
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent, with a duration of at least ten semesters, and,
2. Professional title in Industrial Civil Engineering, Mathematical Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or equivalent.
3. Ph.D./Doctor degree in Engineering Sciences, Economics, Finance, or equivalent, demonstration training in economic, macroeconomic, microeconomic, or industrial organization. Preferably, a master’s degree in one of the indicated areas is desirable.
4. Must have at least four years of teaching or research experience.

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences or related field, or Civil Engineering with a focus in Electricity, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent, with a duration of at least ten semesters.
2. a) Ph.D. degree in Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, or related areas; or b) Ph.D. degree in Control and Automation or related areas; or c) Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications or related areas.
3. Desirable knowledge and development in Innovation and Technology Transfer.
4. Demonstrate development in one of the following research lines: a) Energy efficiency and sustainability; Renewable energies; Electric power conversion; Power electronics; Electric machines; Equipment’s protection; Distribution systems; or b) Process automation; Automatic control; Robotics/mechatronics; Autonomous and intelligent systems; Control and power electronics; or c) Microwave and telecommunications hardware; Transmitters, antennas, radar, and sonar; Efficient hardware programming and microprocessors; Satellite systems; Mathematical prediction and estimation.

3. Desirable knowledge and development in Innovation and Technology Transfer.
4. Demonstrate academic or professional experience, preferably in applied research or development of projects or computer or technological solutions associated with the main lines of research such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering, or in the following preferred areas: Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence, Computational Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Analytical or Computational Integration with 5G; Technological Applications in Health or Environment, Cybersecurity, Energy Efficiency in computer or communication equipment, Quantum Computing, Biometric Systems, or Bioinformatics/biotechnology.
Note: “Environment” is considered as the disciplinary field that includes physical factors (such as climate and geology), biological factors (human population, flora, fauna, water), and socio-economic factors (work activity, urbanization, social conflicts).
DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICS

2 Academic positions
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences or graduate in Civil Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in thermofluids, hydraulics, aerodynamics, or energy, with a duration of at least ten semesters.
2. Ph.D. degree in Engineering Sciences or equivalent in areas related to mechanics such as thermofluids, hydraulics, aerodynamics, or energy.
3. Must demonstrate training/experience in the area of thermal engineering and thermofluids (thermal power systems, heat and mass transfer, combustion, refrigeration, and energy storage) or the areas of aerodynamics (wind power plants, vehicle aerodynamics, fluid-structure interaction) or hydromechanics and hydraulics (hydraulic systems, hydraulic machinery, hydraulic power plants, energy harvesting), both computational with CFD (desirable experience using open-source software) or experimental (desirable experience in water channels, wind tunnels, combustion engines, and their emissions, or thermal systems).
4. The applicant is expected to initiate research projects with external funding from the National Research and Development Agency of Chile (ANID) or equivalent in basic and applied research and projects involving collaboration with industrial partners.
5. Demonstrate collaboration with other existing research areas within the department or the University or initiate a new one.
6. Must demonstrate teaching experience in higher education, at a national or foreign university, of at least two years in subjects such as Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Thermal Systems, Hydraulic or Thermal Machines, Heat Transfer, or Power Plants, or professional disciplinary practice participation in the industry for at least two years.
7. Must demonstrate evidence of performance in research, development, innovation, or creation in the last four years.
