Application Requirements.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS
Code: FCNMMA-01
1 Academic position

1.Bachelor’s degree in physics or an academic degree or professional title related to the field of physics granted by a Chilean or foreign University recognized by the University of Chile.
2. Ph.D./Doctor in Physics, focusing on Physics or a related field.
3. Specialist in one of the following areas of Physics (theory and application): Condensed Matter Physics, Atomic and Nuclear Physics, Advanced Computational Modeling.
4. Experience in developing research with application in any of the following thematic areas: Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency, Environmental Pollution Analysis, Industrial Processes, and Technological Development.
5. Experience in multidisciplinary research.
6. Experience in undergraduate/postgraduate university teaching in both theoretical and experimental classes.
7. Demonstration productivity in scientific publications and projects, based on the productivity requirements of the National Accreditation Commission (CNA-Chile).
8. Experience in supervising Ph.D. thesis in the respective disciplinary area.

DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY
Code: FCNMMA-02
1 Academic position

1. Professional title in a) Biotechnology Civil Engineer; or b) Biochemistry Civil Engineer; or c) Food Engineer.
2. Ph.D./Doctor degree in a) Engineering Sciences with specialization in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering or Bioprocesses; or b) Food Sciences or Engineering; or c) Food and Bioprocess Engineering
3. Previous postdoctoral studies will be considered favorably.
4. Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The applicant must show the capacity to manage the analytical laboratory techniques.
5. Demonstrable scientific productivity in bioprocesses and bioproducts.

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
Code: FCNMMA-03
1 Academic position

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences or related fields.
2. Professional title in Chemical (Civil) Engineering, Process Engineering, or related engineering fields, with a duration of at least ten semesters, suitably accredited and holding a degree for at least four years.
3. Academic Degree: Doctor/Ph.D.
4. Specialist at least in one of the following research lines: a) Technological Applications in Bio or Cheminformatics in Health or Environment; b) Materials Science or Technology; c) Renewable Energies, Energy Efficiency, and Sustainability; d) Climate Change; e) Chemical or Process Engineering; or f) Data Science.
5. Accredited teaching experience in Chilean or foreign higher education institutions for at least four years in undergraduate or postgraduate programs or professional disciplinary participation in the industry for at least four years.
6. Demonstrated performance in research, development, innovation, or creation in the last five years through mainstream publications (WoS/SCOPUS) and the ability to apply the research projects from external competitive funds (FONDECYT, FONDEF, or equivalent) or internal funds that contribute to scientific publication productivity and positioning of the academic unit in their areas of interest and development.
